We are looking for a Manager of FP & A who will take on responsibility of preparing and analyzing reports to support the decision making within the business.

 

As part of your core responsibilities you will:

 

  • Develop and provide KPIs (and the systems to support their generation) for the various business units to support decision making
  • Prepare consolidated and business unit analysis and reporting for weekly / monthly operations reviews: Sales Pipeline analysis; KPI analysis; Financial Metrics analysis (revenue, cost of goods sold, gross margin, and operating costs to plan); partner with business units to understand the driver of variances and identify potential risks and opportunities to the forecast
  • Prepare management reports (weekly / monthly) for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with business units to develop the annual budget, monthly forecast and other ongoing operations reports; provide assistance and training for the business unit leads to complete their forecast
  • Review complex financial information and reports and support other finance teams as required (e.g. accounting, tax, treasury, financial reporting, legal, etc.)
  • Maintain an environment of continuous improvement by strengthening, modifying or eliminating current processes to increase efficiency, access to information, and strengthen controls

 

In this role you will be accountable to:

 

  • Deliver weekly reporting documents
  • Develop and manage the process for:
    • Collaboration with business units on their needs
    • Streamline data acquisition processes
    • Develop data warehouse strategy
    • Manage data warehouse implementation
    • Refining of reports over time to match business needs
    • Develop a strategy and implement it for data availability
  • Co-operate in the management of related IT systems
  • Assist functional owners on the meaning of the reporting and required process changes
  • Accuracy of data used for reporting
  • Written analysis of reporting and variances

 

As a candidate, you will have:

 

  • A university degree coupled with a profession accounting designation
  • A minimum 5 years of progressive financial analysis and reporting experience
  • A proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • An advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-look ups) and good working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word
  • ERP Experience (ideally Netsuite or Intaact) will be considered an asset
  • Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) tools; implementation of BI tool will be considered an asset
  • Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills – ability to work closely with internal/external team members at a senior level
  • The highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • An ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects
